How to request a review
If for some reason you believe that an existing order is unsatisfactory, you can apply to the Tribunal and request that the appointment be reviewed. Anyone with an interest in the matter can request a review—a guardian, administrator, family member, friend, the Office of the Adult Guardian or The Public Trustee of Queensland or the adult concerned.
Reviews can be requested at any time during the term of the order if there is new information that is relevant to the effectiveness of the order or if the circumstances of the appointment have changed. For more information refer to Presidential Direction 2 of 2002.
An application for review must be completed using the form found in the Application Kit and a written report must be attached addressing:
- The new and relevant information which has become available since the hearing; or
- The relevant change in circumstances which has occurred since the hearing; or
- The information that was not presented to the Tribunal at the hearing; and
- The competence and appropriateness of the current appointee; and
- The competence and appropriateness of any proposed appointee/s; and
- A report by any current appointee and, in the case of an administrator, a statement of accounts.
